Charley Kaptur

Charlie is the Freak Factory GIANT, known by his many construction employees as El Gigante.  Charlie is one of the tallest Strongmen in the world standing at 6’8”.  Charlie is an awesome sight to behold, as there are not many men as tall, strong and athletic as our giant.  No one we know can throw a child higher in the air than Charley!

Not only has Charlie excelled at Strongman as a professional, he also broke many records as both an amateur and a professional highland games athlete.  Because of his natural athleticism Charlie is the kind of competitor that can try an event for the first time and demolish all that step in his path.  He has in the past been ranked as high as in the U.S. top ten in Strongman.

When that Charlie puts forth an effort at the Freak Factory, it is nothing less than awe-inspiring to the Freak Factory, as he can overhead press more from his knees than most of us can press from a standing position with leg drive. Charley had to do the log press from his knees in order to prevent structural damage to the Factory ceiling and lighting fixtures. And you should see him eat barbeque!

Charlie is one of the only people to have walked the earth who can derive all of his training information from the Arnold Encyclopedia and Flex Magazine and still manage to excel in strength athletics.  Now if that isn't freaky, nothing is.  Some people can be inspired enough by big, muscular, oily dudes in Speedos to get their testosterone levels surging…  but that is neither here nor there. 

Our Jolly Giant is known for his harassment of all that walk through the Freak Factory Gates.  If you had high self-esteem before entering the Freak Factory, rest assured that you will leave with a fraction of what was once an ego.  So take heed before joining our barbarian horde, you will need skin thicker than chain mail to survive.  

Charlie is always there to get our back when we need him.  He is one of the key elements to what makes up the Freak Factory and is always there to drive us past our limits. 

Charley and his beautiful wife Jodi have two children, CJ and Summer.

Charley and Jodi have been together since high school and are a wonderful couple, full of fun and laughter. Jodi is the only one who can keep Charley in line. It's a big job but she's more than able to rise to the challenge.

Charley's alternate personality is Herman Munster. You should see him laugh. Fred Gwynn would be proud.
