| | Strongman Events are characterized by difficulty,
heaviness, endurance and explosiveness. Most contests are different from each
other, standardization is NOT the goal in strongman athletics. Most if not all events will be designed
with the extra-ordinary in mind. A good strongman can turn his hand to just
about any event. Listed below are some of the events common to
most Strongman competitions.
Farmer's Walk:
the athlete will carry two weights of equal size, shape and
weight and going either as far or as fast
as possible. Farmer's walk or carry is usually done for longest distance in a
predetermined time or fastest time on a predetermined distance. the implements
or weights are usually shaped similar to a suitcase or a tube/torpedo shape.
