Pete "Monkey boy" Danahy

Pete Danahy is one of our newer Freaks weighing in at roughly 205 lbs. He can amazingly pick up close to 3 times his body weight with a 600lb standard deadlift.

  Known to the Freak Factory as “Monkey Boy”, Pete brings with him a major level of intensity and insanity.  

For Monkey Boy currently competes in USA Rugby Division 1 for the Back Bay Sharks in Newport Beach, CA.  His team is currently ranked in the top 10 in the U.S.  

In only his first and second time competing in the highland games, Pete has shown a great proficiency for putting the Braemar and open stones and for tossing the caber.  

Pete has a rich Scottish/Irish history with his family belonging to Clan Cameron.  

Pete looks to make his family proud through his future accomplishments in the Highland Games and Strongman.  

We believe that he will move up the amateur ranks quickly with his natural strength, athleticism and lunacy. 

Danahy is an excellent addition to the Freak Factory as he brings with him a great competitive spirit, the willingness to leave his lunch in the street and readiness to sacrifice his body for the sake of winning.  

Pete’s character embodies the type of gladiator effort that the Freak Factory requires out of all of its members.
